ON LOCATION: MEMPHIS has a reputation for showcasing some of the finest independent films from around the world. Now going into its 17th year, On Location: Memphis is a competitive 3-day festival that features a diverse mix of local and global films. Awards given in 3 OL:M categories: Live Action Feature, Documentary Short, Animated Short. This year OL:M is the local festival partner of the Memphis Film Prize that boast a $10,000.00 CASH Grand Prize for Live Action Shorts.
Join us for the opening night Mix & Mingle Music & Film preview party at the Hard Rock Cafe on world famous Beale Street. There you are invited to the VIP section where you will have the opportunity to meet OL:M staff, sponsors, jurors, vendors, and even an occasional celebrity.
Attend the unvealing of the 2016 Official Festival Art Piece, created by Sir Walt and Marino, and view the winners of the OL:M Shorts Festival at Art Village Gallery on Friday. Industry discussions and film screenings at Malco Studio on the Square on that Friday and Saturday. The Awards Brunch will close out the festival on that Sunday at The Atrium. Located in the heart of Overton Square and Down Town Memphis, you are within walking distance of shops and restaurants.
